Scout Silva Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Turlock got the W thanks in part to Scout Silva playing the best football he has all season. Silva rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 132 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The win was the fourth in a row for Turlock, bringing their record for this year to 5-3. Silva and Turlock will head out on the road to square off against Modesto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Gregori found a leader in Emmanuel Vasquez as the team took down Modesto on Friday. Modesto had no answer to Vasquez as he threw for 186 yards and a touchdown while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown. Vasquez didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made eight total tackles.
This year, Vasquez has thrown 16 touchdowns while averaging 122.4 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he had two passing touchdowns.
