After a string of four wins, the Christ the King Gladiators's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were dealt a 53-13 loss at the hands of Regina Dominican. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Christ the King has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Regina Dominican to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddie Witchger, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Witchger has scored all season. Olivia Fraterrigo was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Christ the King's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Regina Dominican, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christ the King on the road again on Thursday and play against Northtown at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. As for Regina Dominican, they will face off against Chicago University at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
