The Choctaw Yellowjackets will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Jenks Trojans at 6:30 p.m. Choctaw will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Choctaw posted their closest win since January 5th last Friday. They skirted past Bixby 48-45. 48 seems to be a good number for Choctaw as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Jenks had to suffer through a rough 72-44 loss at the hands of Broken Arrow. While losing is never fun, Jenks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Broken Arrow is ranked 32nd).
Choctaw pushed their record up to 19-0 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points per game. As for Jenks, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
Everything went Choctaw's way against Jenks when the teams last played back in January as Choctaw made off with a 66-41 victory. Does Choctaw have another victory up their sleeve, or will Jenks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
