The Red Mountain Mountain Lions will challenge the Pinnacle Pioneers at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Red Mountain: 2, Pinnacle: 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Pinnacle will be up against a hot Red Mountain team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Red Mountain came out on top in a nail-biter against Desert Vista on Saturday, sneaking past 3-1.

Red Mountain got a great performance from Maddox Loria as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, Loria posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, Kale Thorson and Hagen Wright did most of the damage at the plate: Thorson scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Wright went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pinnacle, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over Queen Creek on Monday.
Noah Weiss tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.
On the hitting side, Sam Green was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Erik Moo was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.
The victory got Pinnacle back to even at 2-2-1. As for Red Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Red Mountain came out on top in a nail-biter against Pinnacle when the teams last played back in March of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will Red Mountain repeat their success, or does Pinnacle have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
