Blacksburg entered their tilt with Pulaski County on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Blacksburg, who have now won nine matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Pulaski County with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Erin Bishop (4), Piper Berger, Ginny Crawford, and Tea Bissell.

Blacksburg pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those six contests.
