The Central Valley Falcons lost against the University Prep Panthers back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Central Valley was dealt a 45-13 defeat at the hands of University Prep. Central Valley has struggled against University Prep recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Central Valley's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Vincent Vanpal, who picked up 99 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Bailey Wurzer was his usual excellent self, rushing for 94 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 118 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Tyson Wurzer, who rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown.
Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for University Prep, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Central Valley will head out on the road to face off against University Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in University Prep's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last nine games. As for they, they will look to defend their home field against Central Valley at 7:00 p.m. Central Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 732nd, while University Prep is ranked 279th).
