The Lake Fenton Blue Devils will take on the Arbor Prep Gators in a holiday battle at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at. Lake Fenton is looking to tack on another W to their 13-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Lake Fenton had to settle for a 46-44 defeat against Clarkston. The loss was Lake Fenton's first of the season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Savannah "sj" fellenbaum, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. The match was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ella Prevost, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Arbor Prep beat Powers Catholic 51-43 on Saturday.
Lake Fenton's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-1. As for Arbor Prep, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Lake Fenton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Arbor Prep in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 45-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Fenton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
