Xavier Prep extended the longest winning streak in Freelance this week by beating Mary Star of the Sea, 45-30. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Saints.
Ribet Academy was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in the league.
Rex Rover threw for 333 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was 24-31 with 1 interception.
Sava Voyne was the best wideout in the league this week as Xavier Prep bested the Stars. Voyne racked up 6 receptions for 122 yards. Mitchell Xanders helped Xavier Prep's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 67 yards.
5-foot-8 quarterback Rover of Bob Molyet's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2,061. He has also thrown 28 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Aaron Gibson. The Firebaugh star has 33 catches for 671 yards.
Albert Einstein Academy fell to Vasquez 79-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
