Baseball Recap: Chandler Extends Winning Streak to Five

Chandler waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Fruita Monument Wildcats as they made off with a 15-3 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolves also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Jameson Harris made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Dylan Lopez and Thomas Bass did most of the damage at the plate: Lopez went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while Bass scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Chandler is undefeated when Bass posts two or more runs, but 2-4-1 otherwise. Brett Culver also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Chandler always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Chandler's record now sits at 6-4-1. As for Fruita Monument, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Chandler has already played their next contest, a 6-4 defeat against Resurrection Christian on the 21st. As for Fruita Monument, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-5 loss against Bishop Manogue on the 22nd.
