Make it six blowout wins for the Central Rebels this season. They took their matchup at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 73-45 victory over West County. The score was close at the half, but Central pulled away in the second half with 35 points.
It was another big night for Jobe Bryant, who scored 38 points along with six assists and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Central's points. Caden Casey was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with three steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Central and bumps their season record up to 13-2. As for West County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will take on the Black Cats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fredericktown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 366th, while the Rebels are ranked 29th). As for West County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th. Crystal City is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
