That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Tree of Life Christian is undefeated when Vascura posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacob Brown, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Samuel Jackson, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Tree of Life Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Tree of Life Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Northside Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
