Q Young was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double with 20 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last 24 games he's played dating back to last season. C Arroyo was another key player, going 6-for-8 on his way to 12 points.
Meanwhile, Atlantic Collegiate Academy came tearing into Tuesday's match with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.9 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Braves 89-47. Given the Armada's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Braves are ranked 212th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bridges Prep better keep an eye on Jamie Brooks. He was instrumental in Atlantic Collegiate Academy's win, going 7-for-9 to rack up 18 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Bellamy, who went 5-for-8 en route to 11 points and three steals.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Atlantic Collegiate Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.
Atlantic Collegiate Academy's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.6 points over those games. As for Bridges Prep, their record now sits at 18-7.
Friday's game is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Bridges Prep just can't miss this season, having nailed 66.8% of their field goals per game. However, it's not like Atlantic Collegiate Academy struggles in that department as they've made 63.9% of their shots this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
