It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Southern Prep Academy Fighting Rangers can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Springwood on Thursday, falling 61-14. Southern Prep Academy's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Kevin Mason and Jahziyah Anderson certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Mason rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, while Anderson gained 156 total yards and a touchdown.
Southern Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Springwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Southern Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Springwood will take on Cornerstone Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Cornerstone Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
