De Pere is a perfect 10-0 against Green Bay Southwest since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Redbirds will host the Fighting Trojans at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (De Pere has three straight wins, Green Bay Southwest has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
18 must be De Pere's lucky number: they beat Sheboygan South with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Redbirds' pitcher stepped up to hand the Redwings an 18-0 shutout. The Redbirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.
Addison Krutz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

De Pere always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sheboygan South only posted an OBP of .100.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Green Bay Southwest and Manitowoc Lincoln meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Fighting Trojans lost 20-1 to the Ships.
Green Bay Southwest saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Nelson, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
De Pere pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Green Bay Southwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
Green Bay Southwest's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. De Pere has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Green Bay Southwest, though, as they've been averaging only 3.9 strikeouts. Will De Pere keep running through batters, or will the Fighting Trojans buck the trend?
Everything went De Pere's way against Green Bay Southwest in their previous matchup back in April, as De Pere made off with a 21-0 victory. Will the Redbirds repeat their success, or do the Fighting Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
