Liberty hasn't had much luck against Easton Area recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hurricanes will take on the Rovers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Liberty sitting on three straight wins and Easton Area on 12 (dating back to last season).
Liberty is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Freedom by a score of 26-14.

Antonio Fontanez was his usual excellent self, throwing for 230 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. His passing game has become a key predictor of Liberty's success: the team is 7-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Zyaire Davis was Fontanez's top target, picking up 96 receiving yards and one TD.
Liberty didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jake Pukszyn.
Meanwhile, Easton Area got the win against Emmaus on Friday by a conclusive 28-7. The Rovers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 20 points or more this season.
Easton Area's win came from a few key players Liberty will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cole Ordway, who rushed for 76 yards and one score, and also threw for 83 yards and one touchdown. Sean McPeek made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Easton Area was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 159 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Easton Area's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB five times. Emmaus' QB won't forget Algee Macon anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Macon also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight. McPeek got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Liberty's record now sits at 8-3. As for Easton Area, their record is now 11-0.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Fontanez and Ordway. Fontanez just won't slow down this season and has thrown 35 touchdowns while averaging 233.5 passing yards per game. Ordway has been a dominant force too and has thrown 15 touchdowns while averaging 97.7 passing yards per game.
Liberty couldn't quite finish off Easton Area in their previous meeting back in October and fell 23-20. Can the Hurricanes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
