Redwood waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Monache Marauders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 two weeks ago.
The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-11, 25-13.
Redwood was led to victory by Elise Minnick and Journey Vela. Minnick had ten assists and five aces, while Vela had six digs and two aces. Those five aces gave Minnick a new career-high. Lana Alipaz also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Redwood was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Monache only served five.
Redwood's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Monache, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-12-1.
