The Urbana Tigers lost against the Indianapolis Crispus Attucks Tigers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Urbana was outmatched by the Tigers on the road and fell 82-52. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Urbana in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.
Indianapolis Crispus Attucks got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dezmon Briscoe out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Briscoe is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ron Rutland III, who scored 16 points along with five assists.
Urbana's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Indianapolis Crispus Attucks, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
Urbana will head out on the road to take on the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Indianapolis Crispus Attucks will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the at 6:00 p.m. on February 16th.
