It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Rossville Hornets had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Falcons 51-30. The win made it back-to-back wins for Rossville.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rossville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Allie Elliott, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Elliott also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Ava Burkle was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.
North Vermillion's loss came despite strong showings from Lauren Ellis and Cadence Dunham. Ellis scored seven points along with seven rebounds and five steals, while Dunham scored 11 points along with three steals. Dunham hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games.
Rossville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for North Vermillion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13.
Rossville will face off against the Red Ramblers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Attica is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. North Vermillion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
