The Evergreen Valley Cougars's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Leigh Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th.
Evergreen Valley suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. Their rough 60-39 defeat to Christopher might stick with them for a while.
Meanwhile, Leigh didn't have too much trouble with Lynbrook on the road on Saturday as they won 59-44. The win made it back-to-back wins for Leigh.
Caleb Asante was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marko Miocinovic, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Evergreen Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Leigh, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Evergreen Valley came up short against Leigh in their previous matchup back in May of 2021, falling 62-54. Can Evergreen Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
