After flying high against the Rauner Wildcats last Wednesday, the Baker Bobcats came back down to earth. Baker took a 39-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Noble Street College Prep. Baker has struggled against Noble Street College Prep recently, as their matchup on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Baker still got an impressive performance from Serenity Curry, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Curry scored a full 55.9% of Baker's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Destiny Davis was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Baker's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Noble Street College Prep, their win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.
Baker will play host again and welcome Muchin College Prep, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Muchin College Prep: 28.6, Baker: 28.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Noble Street College Prep will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Mansueto at 5:30 p.m. on December 14th.
