After two weeks on the road, Riverdale is heading back home. On Friday they will take on Golden Gate at 7:00 PM. Golden Gate will need to watch out since Riverdale have now posted big point totals in their last seven contests.
Riverdale might be getting used to good results now that the squad has eight wins in a row. They blew past South Fort Myers 44-13. Followers of Riverdale probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected seven blowout victories.
Meanwhile, we expected Golden Gate to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Naples last Friday, and they did. Golden Gate have to be aching after a bruising 10-31 loss to Naples. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Golden Gate.
Riverdale's victory lifted them to 8-0 while Golden Gate's loss dropped them down to 5-2. In their victory, Riverdale relied heavily on senior Quantavious Brown, who rushed for 181 yards and 3 touchdowns. Golden Gate will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
