Softball Recap: Lehi Has No Trouble Against Lone Peak

Lehi put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Lone Peak Knights with a sharp 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Mya Maughan and Sophie Bliss did most of the damage at the plate: Maughan went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Bliss got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Bliss is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hadlie Hansen, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Lehi's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lone Peak, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
