The Douglas Tigers will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Damonte Ranch Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Douglas will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Mustangs are ranked seventh).
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Douglas, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-38 loss to the Cougars.
The losing side was boosted by Trace Estes, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jett Lehmann, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Damonte Ranch put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against McQueen as Damonte Ranch made off with a 79-53 victory. Damonte Ranch pushed the score to 68-36 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lancers cut but never quite recovered from.
Douglas has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Damonte Ranch, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3.
