 Chloe Compau made a splash no matter where she played. She  struck out 16 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   five  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in April. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Bri Barker was  excellent,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.  Aliyah Sprowl also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
Frankenmuth's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Freeland, their  defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-9.
 Looking ahead, Frankenmuth will welcome Hemlock  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Freeland, they will head out to  take on Meridian  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
