Baseball Recap: Hannibal Takes a Loss

Hannibal dropped their record down to 3-2 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Jordan-Elbridge Eagles, falling 10-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

As for Jordan-Elbridge, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1. Considering they have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For Jordan-Elbridge's part, Nolan Brunelle was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one double. Brunelle is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Davey, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double.

Looking ahead, Hannibal will head out to challenge Fabius Pompey at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jordan-Elbridge, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Skaneateles at 4:30 p.m. The Eagles are facing the Lakers at the right time seeing as the Lakers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
