Basketball Recap: Stuart Skates Past Cody-Kilgore with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stuart). They breezed by the Cody-Kilgore Cowboys/Cowgirls to the tune of 78-49 on Saturday. The Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 28 points or more this season.

Stuart's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Benjamin Paxton, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 15 points. The dominant performance gave Paxton a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayde Ramm, who went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points along with five assists and three steals.

Stuart smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Stuart pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Cody-Kilgore, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-1.

Stuart wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-35 defeat against Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] on the 17th. Cody-Kilgore and Mullen will compete for holiday cheer on Friday.
