Apostles Lutheran had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 57-46 victory over the Calvary Christian Academy Lions on Tuesday. The Falcons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Apostles Lutheran was led to victory by Jeremy Bork and Aiden Kwak. Bork shot 6-for-11 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 boards, while Kwak dropped a double-double on 20 points and 22 boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which Bork has scored at least a third of Apostles Lutheran's points.

Apostles Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Apostles Lutheran's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Apostles Lutheran will venture away from home to take on Hillbrook at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hillbrook will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Apostles Lutheran surely won't give up without a fight. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Stratford Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
