With a playoff win on the line, Bridge City rose to the challenge on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Salado Eagles as they made off with a 12-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won 15 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Bridge City's sixth in a row) raised their record to 28-6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Salado, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 24-13-1.

As of now, neither Bridge City nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
