Basketball Recap: Angeline Academy of Innovation Comes Up Short

Angeline Academy of Innovation was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were dealt a 51-12 loss at the hands of the Central Bears. One positive for the Archers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Felicia Taylor was nothing short of spectacular for Central: she dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. Delanee Duncan was another key player, putting up ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Angeline Academy of Innovation's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Central, their win ended a 14-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-9.

After both having extra time off, Angeline Academy of Innovation and Fivay will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Central, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Classical Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
