Softball Recap: P.K. Yonge Wins Going Away Against Peniel Baptist Academy

P.K. Yonge made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Peniel Baptist Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Blue Wave put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 18-12 victory on Thursday. The Blue Wave might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Emma Mansfield was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Lila Sutton also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

The win got P.K. Yonge back to even at 10-10. As for Peniel Baptist Academy, they moved to 15-4 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. P.K. Yonge will venture away from home to challenge Newberry at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Peniel Baptist Academy, they will square off against Interlachen at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
