Chapin won the last time they faced Coronado and Samantha Wise did her part to make sure it happened again. The Huskies walked away with a 38-29 win over the Thunderbirds on Friday thanks in part to Wise, who posted five points in addition to 12 boards and six assists. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game.

Another player making a difference was Jada Martin-Lewis, who put up nine points and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Several Thunderbirds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Olivia Diamos, who scored five points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Michelle Reyes, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Chapin and bumps their season record up to 4-9. As for Coronado, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Chapin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 49-25 win against Eastlake on the 13th. As for Coronado, they have also already played their next contest, a 56-33 defeat against Mica Mountain on the 12th.
