The St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Patrick. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. Stanislaus in their matchups with St. Patrick: they've now lost five in a row.
Matt Krass was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with five rebounds and two steals for St. Patrick. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which Krass has scored at least a third of St. Patrick's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Triplett, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
St. Stanislaus has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. As for St. Patrick, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-7.
St. Stanislaus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Patrick, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 46-43 win vs. Tylertown on the 9th.
