The Rockport Vikings won the last time they faced the Northeast Metro RVT Knights, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Everything went Rockport's way against Northeast Metro RVT as Rockport made off with a 75-51 win. That 24 points margin sets a new team best for Rockport this season.
Despite the loss, Northeast Metro RVT still got an impressive performance from Bobby Connolly, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Connolly pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kerry Jean, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Rockport and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Northeast Metro RVT, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockport will square off against Hamilton-Wenham Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton-Wenham Regional will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Northeast Metro RVT, they will head out on the road to face off against Nashoba Valley Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
