Murray is a perfect 6-0 against Jordan since March of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Spartans will venture away from home to face off against the Beetdiggers at 3:30 p.m. Murray knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Jordan likes a good challenge.
Murray took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 20-1 margin over Judge Memorial Catholic. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by eight runs or more this season.

Summer Stewart was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Maddie Bigelow, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Murray kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Jordan posted their closest victory since March 9th on Tuesday. They skirted past East 7-6.
Kimani Archibeque made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. Archibeque was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Cambria Culberson was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025.
Murray is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Jordan, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Jordan's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Murray hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .473. It's a different story for Jordan, though, as they've only averaged .222. Will they be able to contain Murray's hitters?
Everything went Murray's way against Jordan when the teams last played back in March of 2025, as Murray made off with a 21-6 victory. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Beetdiggers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
