Given Atlantic's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Palm Beach Lakes is ranked 196th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Elanie Sullard continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with six steals and five blocks. The match was Sullard's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Keaira Todd was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Atlantic's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Palm Beach Lakes, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atlantic is on the road again on Wednesday and play against West Boca Raton at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. West Boca Raton and Atlantic are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Palm Beach Lakes, they will head out on the road to face off against Vero Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
