The McIntosh Chiefs will head out to take on the Woodward Academy War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McIntosh is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
McIntosh not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Whitewater.
The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-8, 25-14.

McIntosh relied on the efforts of Nana Horiuchi, who had six aces and three digs, and Baylee Tanton, who had six digs and six assists. Those six aces gave Horiuchi a new career-high.
They weren't the only good servers: McIntosh was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Woodward Academy faced Blessed Trinity in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Thursday. The War Eagles came out on top against the Titans by a score of 2-0.
While Woodward Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19.
McIntosh's record is now 34-8. As for Woodward Academy, their record now sits at 30-6.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: McIntosh has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Woodward Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
McIntosh couldn't quite get it done against Woodward Academy when the teams last played two weeks ago as they fell 2-0. Can the Chiefs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
