St. Bede waltzed into their matchup  on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They never let the Seneca Fighting Irish get on the board and left with  a   4-0  victory. This was payback for the Bruins, who suffered  a  4-1  defeat the last time these two teams met.
Not much got past  Alan Spencer, who gave up just  a  hit and racked up 13 Ks to keep Seneca off the board. Spencer has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances.

St. Bede pushed their record up to 22-4 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Seneca,  they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-20.
