Despite their loss, Ridgeview Global Studies Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Bryan Lopez, who scored 13 points, was perhaps the best of all. Mehiel Charles was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Orlando Science suffered their biggest loss since November 16, 2023 on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Crooms Academy, falling 54-26.
Despite the loss, Orlando Science saw an underclassman step up: Myles Gipson scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gipson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenneth Reyes, who scored three points along with 17 rebounds and two steals.
Ridgeview Global Studies Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Orlando Science, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
