The Pahrump Valley Trojans put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Chaparral at home to the tune of 53-3. Fans of Pahrump Valley have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Pahrump Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Heaven Cooper led the charge by scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Cooper has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Moore, who scored 8 points.
Pahrump Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Chaparral, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pahrump Valley will square off against Virgin Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Chaparral will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eldorado at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
