Eagle's View has gone a perfect 8-0 against Cedar Creek Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagle's View Warriors will look to defend their home field against the Cedar Creek Christian Saints at 6:30 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Eagle's View came up short against Yulee and fell 11-7. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Nathan La Rosa was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Loeding, who went a perfect2-for-2 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cedar Creek Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Westside on Wednesday as Cedar Creek Christian made off with a 23-7 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Saints' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Dereck Garcia was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he also racked up two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Gabriel Hutton and Breon Sibley did most of the damage at the plate: Hutton scored three runs and stole eight bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Sibley scored three runs and stole eight bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Sibley a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Ethan Hamilton, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.
Eagle's View now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Cedar Creek Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Eagle's View has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cedar Creek Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 15.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Eagle's View took their victory against Cedar Creek Christian in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 19-8. Will Eagle's View repeat their success, or does Cedar Creek Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
