Basketball Recap: Clear Lake Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

If Clear Brook wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Clear Lake, they should've done a better job of containing Julien Barclay. The Clear Lake Falcons snuck past the Clear Brook Wolverines with a 57-51 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Barclay, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game.

Logan Perkins was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 12 boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (three).

Clear Lake is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Clear Brook, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-9.

Clear Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 66-58 defeat against Clear Falls on the 10th. As for Clear Brook, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-39 win against Brazoswood on the 10th.
