Volleyball Recap: Garrison Forest Has No Trouble Against Mcdonogh

Garrison Forest won the last time they faced McDonogh and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Grizzlies were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Grizzlies.

Garrison Forest not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept McDonogh between 13 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-13, 25-13.

Dawn Pena paced Garrison Forest's offense, picking up 17 kills. Pena got some help from Julianna LaRocco and her 38 assists. Bryah Breaux controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Garrison Forest's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for McDonogh, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Garrison Forest is set to challenge their familiar foe Annapolis Area Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, McDonogh will square off against rival Notre Dame Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
