Columbus East's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Savanna Sullivan, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sullivan has scored all season. Caroline Frost was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Columbus East has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Madison, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbus East will take on Silver Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Silver Creek is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games. As for Madison, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Harrison at 7:30 p.m. North Harrison is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
