Brookfield Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Romero, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Josie Piurkowski was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Brookfield Central were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Brookfield Central's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-11. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Menomonee Falls, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Brookfield Central will head out on the road to face off against Wauwatosa West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Menomonee Falls, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Hamilton is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
