The Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 52-14 win over Columbia on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-7.
Jenia Haigler was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with six steals and five rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Joliyah Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Orangeburg-Wilkinson and bumps their season record up to 13-2. As for Columbia, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson will be playing in front of their home fans against Swansea at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Swansea focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Saturday. As for Columbia, they will head out on the road to take on Fairfield Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairfield Central has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
