Eatonville and Orting are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. Eatonville will be playing in front of their home fans against Orting at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eatonville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
Eatonville not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19, 2024. They put the hurt on Foss with a sharp 19-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cruisers in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won three in a row.

Morgan Laird was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Grace Field was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Aubree Mills was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.
Eatonville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Orting was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Franklin Pierce. One positive for Orting, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Like Eatonville, Orting also got a great game from a two-way player: Kathryn Prest. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Prest has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that she brought in this season.
In other batting news, Norah Fenton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Laney Barkley, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
The win got Eatonville back to even at 2-2. As for Orting, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Orting's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Eatonville has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .492. It's a different story for Orting, though, as they've only averaged .333. Will they be able to contain Eatonville's hitters?
Eatonville took their victory against Orting in their previous matchup back in May of 2021 by a conclusive 28-10. Will Eatonville repeat their success, or does Orting has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
