The Zionsville Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They secured a 71-66 W over Noblesville. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Allie Caldwell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Faith Leedy, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Noblesville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Shoemaker, who scored 13 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Shoemaker continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Meredith Tippner was another key contributor, scoring 23 points along with five rebounds.
Zionsville pushed their record up to 16-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Noblesville, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
Zionsville will head out on the road to face off against Hamilton Southeastern at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Noblesville, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Harrison at 7:30 p.m.
