The Colton-Pierrepont Colts scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past St. Regis Falls 71-48. That's another feather in the cap for Colton-Pierrepont, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Colton-Pierrepont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eric Friedel led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. Friedel has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nate Smith, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Colton-Pierrepont's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-11. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for St. Regis Falls, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Colton-Pierrepont and Tupper Lake will face off at 7:15 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Tupper Lake knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 contests -- so hopefully Colton-Pierrepont likes a good challenge. St. Regis Falls is on the road again on Friday and plays St. Lawrence Central at 7:15 p.m. on February 9th.
