Forest is 10-0 against Harrisonburg since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Forest Bulldogs will look to defend their home court against the Harrisonburg Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Forest and three for Harrisonburg.
Last Thursday, Forest was beaten by Beekman 58-19. While losing is never fun, Forest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 307th, while Beekman is ranked 90th).
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 80-33, which was the final score in Harrisonburg's tilt against Grant on Monday. Harrisonburg has struggled against Grant recently, as their contest on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Harrisonburg had strong showings from Ryan Fuqua, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals, and Laine Dupuis, who scored 4 points along with 9 rebounds. The match was Fuqua's seventh in a row with at least ten points.
Forest's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Harrisonburg, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Forest won a match that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in January, slipping by Harrisonburg 62-61. Will Forest repeat their success, or does Harrisonburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
