Softball Recap: Boonville Extends Winning Streak to Four

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Boonville had no problem doing just that on Monday. They never let the Evansville Bosse Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. Considering the Pioneers have won seven matchups by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Boonville's fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Evansville Bosse, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season.

Boonville will face off against North Posey at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season. Evansville Bosse does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
